ippimail.com — "feel-good" email
December 4, 2006I just discovered a new Webmail service this morning. No, it's not multi-gigabyte like Google or Yahoo!Mail. In fact, it says that I'm using 0 of 195.3MB. It apparently has the same filtering capabilities of other Webmail services, and goes with the traditional folders instead of GMail's labels. So what's so special about ippimail?
From their front page:
- A free email service. It won't cost you a penny
- ippimail raises money through selling banner advertising on the site.
- 45% of the profits go to charity, 10% to the Open Source community.

You should consider signing up as well. I like their terms and conditions and spam policy both for their clarity and their content. It's too early to tell how much of a spam magnet my ippimail address will be, but they guarantee that if you do get spam, they had nothing to do with giving out your address.
