This blog is about technology, more specifically how to make it do the hard work for you. We can complain about features we don't need, but I'd prefer to look about how those unused or little-used features can make our lives easier. Most of my posts will be about the smart use of technology -- the 21st Century lifestyle, if you will. That also accounts for the title of this blog: Tech Frontiers. Information and Communications Technology is still a frontier, and I hope to do what I can to help smooth out the rough spots.
Every now and then, I'll digress from technology to write about my interests outside of technology , which include music and theater.

Hi Daniel, many thanks for leaving a comment on my blog http://www.ghostwritinguncovered.com/Blog I agree with you about the term papers and I probably wouldn’t object to helping a student write one either once I was sure that they fully understood what it was they were writing about and they came up with their own ideas and concepts. Hope to see you back again. Great blog by the way.
Hi. Cool blog. I wonder what’s my star wars personality? Hehe, before i just wanted to be the easygoing Han Solo who gets the ultimate price Princess Leah….Now with all life’s whirlwind, i need the wisdom of Master Yoda! Cheers to science fiction and may the force…be with you!
That’s cool! Do let me know in advance! …Hope I get to meet you!
Not to worry, Ms Malou, we’re going to Aurora at least once more. I’m on a team working on the computerization of the Provincial Government.
I’ve just read your message today! Are you still around? Too bad I didn’t read it sooner. Btw, what did you do in Aurora? That’s my mom’s province. Small world talaga. . .
Hi Danny!

As to software for composing and editing music, I’ve been looking around for some time, and installed something called EidelMusic (??) on my Windows partition. Was pretty advanced though, especially for one whose last formal music lesson was in the 5th or 6th grade
Our choirmaster uses this app called Encore — review at http://music-notation-software-review.toptenreviews.com/encore-review.html — but it cost almost US$400. Being a Free/Open Source advocate, I’ve been looking obviously for FOSS music editing software. I’ve found entire Live CDs at http://www.livecdlist.com/?pick=All&showonly=Media+Production&sort=&sm=1, and in fact have two of them: Musix and X-evian. Haven’t tried them a lot though mainly because there’s some hardware in my project-assigned notebook that they can’t handle. You might have better luck with a “white-box” PC.
If you can’t download the large ISOs, I can get them to you. Due to be in Aurora after the elections. Or, we can meet up in Mla.
My dad’s Tio Ingo is his father’s brother and therefore my great-uncle. Your dad and mine are probably 2nd cousins, making us 3rd cousins. Kewl!
Hehehe. I think you’re my distant uncle. Anyway, I asked my dad about the Tio Ingo you were talking about. He calls him Tio Ingo, too. Says he’s his uncle. Small world. Haha.
Take care, uncle!
hi.
any idea what’s a good software that’s not too difficult to use for composing and editing music?
thanks!
my dad and uncle are out on a nature trip with our church in quezon. unfortunately i can’t go ’cause i’m overloaded with school work. i’ll ask him next time we see each other. …yes, that was my picture you saw.
…yeah, i think we are related. that’s cool.
